Power Generation

Power is absolutely essential for the smooth and efficient operations of data center environments, as it fuels both cutting-edge technology systems and necessary cooling infrastructures. Large Hyperscale sites often struggle significantly to effectively manage rising heat levels, especially with the increasing demand for liquid and cryogenic cooling solutions.

Notably, each rack in these environments now requires over 120 kW of power, and contemporary sites can consume a staggering 600-800 MW in total. Our innovative solution seeks to harness energy sustainably from the natural environment, and Scotland stands out as an ideal location for this initiative due to its abundant capacity to generate a substantial amount of clean power. With resources such as wind, wave, hydro, and tidal energy becoming increasingly commercially viable, they will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in supporting our ambitious development efforts.

Supporting modern computing

Our site is currently being thoughtfully designed and will be meticulously built to adhere to modern standards, ensuring that we meet the diverse and evolving demands of today’s advanced computing landscape. We are fully equipped to host AI applications and a variety of other sophisticated systems seamlessly.

Furthermore, we are actively developing innovative methods to cool our infrastructure while also reusing heat for beneficial purposes, including agriculture and aquaculture. The comprehensive site planning includes a robust approach that supplements these features with both manned and electronic surveillance, diligently ensuring that your data remains secure and protected against any potential physical intrusion, 24 hours a day, every day of the week.

Supporting the Argyll economy.

Our site is strategically located in a development zone that was officially designated for industrial growth back in 2008. Over the years, much of the site has been actively utilized for the construction of oil and gas platforms, as well as for various quarry operations. However, our innovative development is now transforming this area into a vibrant new high-tech industrial hub.

Currently, our first data centre is fully dedicated to the efficient management and distribution of data for a large international company, which plays a crucial role in providing power to numerous sites across Scotland. We are now engaged in fruitful discussions with our clients about the next exciting step: building out the site further to accommodate a hyperscale development. This initiative will utilize 100% renewable generated electricity, which supports Scotland's ambitious transformation toward achieving a net zero economy.
